Having both recently popped up on the most anticipated games list, Final Fantasy 15 and Kingdom Hearts 3 are both games where fans of the series’ are always wanting to get as much information as possible. That’s why those same fans will be quite happy to find out there is more information about why Noctis and his friends were all recently pictured wearing black clothes. Game Director Hajime Tabata recently explained exactly why they were wearing those outfits in the game’s official forums.

“The clothing worn by the four main characters is the official battle gear of the Kingdom of Lucis. Noctis is a member of the royal family and the other three characters are parts of various Lucian national organizations and they are each wearing the specific battle dress relevant to their individual stations.” So it turns out the outfits people saw these characters in were not just because they are friends who like to dress alike. It turns out this was the official battle gear. It will be interesting to see how other outfits and legends unfold as we get closer to an as-yet unknown release date.

Speaking of an unknown release date, people have been waiting for Kingdom Hearts 3 for a while now. Among the questions is why the game skipped the PS3 altogether. Tetsuya Nomura recently sat down with GamesTM for an interview and among the topics they discussed was the length of development for this game. “We needed to get our experience and polish our skills at creating Kingdom Hearts games so that there was a proper preparation for a big title like Kingdom Hearts III. It just happened that this preparation took the life cycle of the PS3.” That explains why the game wasn’t brought to the PS3. We still don’t know exactly when it will come to the PS4 and Xbox One.
