Final Fantasy 15

It’s been ten long years in the coming, and Square Enix understand what that means- the launch of Final Fantasy 15 later this year won’t just be any game launch. It will be a veritable event unto itself, the launch of not just Final Fantasy 15, the game, but also Final Fantasy 15, the brand- a brand encompassing apparel, merchandize, and tie in media.

Included in that latter category is Final Fantasy 15 Kingsglaive, a CG movie that acts as a prequel to the events of the game. The English dub of this movie will have an incredibly high profile cast, including stars such as Sean Bean and Lena Headey. But in spite of that, it will be Japan, and not us, that gets to see the movie as a theatrical feature on July 9.

Today, Square Enix released a brand new trailer for that theatrical showing for the movie, which you can see for yourself below. Final Fantasy 15 will launch on PS4 and Xbox One on September 30.
