Final Fantasy 15 Monster of the Deep

Square Enix’s Final Fantasy 15: Monster of the Deep, a VR focused fishing game for PlayStation VR, is finally available. As you’d expect, it’s nothing like the main game and simply involves you fishing. Well, fishing and dealing with monsters.

Monster of the Deep is only available for PS4. Playing as Noctis, players have a 360 degree view of their surroundings. The end goal is capture the monster fish, who’s capable of ending your entire run if you’re not successful. It’s not clear what the point of having Prompto, Ignis and Gladiolus with you is besides eating the fish you capture for dinner. At least, that’s what it looks like.

For non-VR players, Final Fantasy 15 recently received its multiplayer co-op DLC Comrades which allows for the creation of custom characters that can team up online and undertake missions. Story-minded players will have Episode Ignis to look forward to in December, learning more about the man’s role during key events in the base campaign.
