As rumored, Final Fantasy 15 was in fact showcased at Microsoft’s E3 conference. The segment focused specifically on the battle system of the game, in order to show us just how fast and fluid the combat in the game can be- unprecedented in Final Fantasy history.

The footage showed off a battle against a gigantic foe, and the entire battle recalled the Colossus battle at the beginning of God of War 2. The action was very reminiscent of God of War, actually- to the extent that without context, I would have pegged the footage as being from an action game. It is definitely a departure from the norm.

Final Fantasy 15 will be releasing on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on September 30. You can check out the new footage for yourself below. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage and information from Microsoft’s keynote, and from E3, as it comes.
