Final Fantasy 15 Release Date Is Already Set But Could Be Delayed: Director

I knew it was too good to be true.

Final Fantasy 15

I knew it, I called it, I’ll get hate for it. I told you that a final release date for Final Fantasy XV would absolutely not be a guaranteed release date. Game Director Hajime Tabata confirmed that they have a release date in mind but it may take more time to complete it.

Speaking during an interview with the french online publication GameKult, Final Fantasy XV director, Hajime Tabata said “I can not give the exact date, but I can tell you it has already been set – the final release date and the countries in which it will be released. We are working to release the game on time, but it might take a little more time than you think.”

So there is a date in place, but whether or not that means it’s coming soon-ish is anyone’s guess, that’s not even accounting for FF XV’s already legendary delay schedule. So there you have it. You might get it, but probably not as soon as you would like. Was releasing the demo a bad idea? Perhaps.
