The Ultimate Collector’s Edition for Final Fantasy 15 is sold out… again. This is in spite of Square Enix preparing a second batch of the SKUs after the first one sold out very quickly, and started showing up on online auction sites for obscene prices.
As of right now, the second wave of the Ultimate Collector’s Edition, which was already delayed thanks to technical issues marring production, has been sold out in Europe- and chances are it will soon be unavailable everywhere else in the world as well. There weren’t a whole lot of them made, after all.
Final Fantasy 15 is going to launch on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on September 30 this year worldwide, with a PC version promised to be investigated for feasibility after this initial release. It will launch after a protracted, very public ten year long development cycle- and for many people, represents the franchise’s final chance at returning to the kind of glory that it used to have just a little over a decade ago, before the Final Fantasy 13 games dropped the ball.
