Final Fantasy 15’s Game World Will Be 10x As Big As It Is In The Demo

Also, the demo won't have any towns.

Final Fantasy 15

An exclusive playable demo for Final Fantasy XV, Episode Duscae, launches next month alongside Final Fantasy Type 0 HD on the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4; Square Enix have come out and stated that the game world in the final game will be ten times as big as it is in the demo. While this sounds like an impressive statistic by any measure, do remember that as of right now, we don’t quite know how big the world in the demo is.

That said, Square Enix also clarified that one should not take the game world in the demo as representative of the game world in the final game either- the final game will, for instance, have towns (probably in response to the ‘no towns!’ accusation that Final Fantasy XIII so commonly got), but the demo will not. Instead, there will be lots of outposts that players can visit where they can interact with interesting and colorful characters.

Final Fantasy XV is due out… some time… on Xbox One and PS4. Stay tuned for more coverage.
