Final Fantasy 7 Remake 2017 Release Date Is Just A Rumor – Square Enix

Don't get too ahead of yourselves.

Posted By | On 11th, Dec. 2016

There have been a lot of rumors circulating of late about the release date of the long swaited Final Fantasy 7 Remake, with most of them pegging the game for a 2017 launch, at least on the PS4 (a PC version is usually slated for early 2018, according to those same rumors).

However, Square Enix’s executive producer and Final Fantasy brand manager Shinji Hashimoto has reminded us that those rumors are just that, rumors, and that nothing has been confirmed yet. Speaking about the release date for Final Fantasy 7 Remake, he confirmed that the team is working hard on the title, but also asks fans to be patient- implying that Square may not be willing to commit tok any release date whatsoever right now, or not publicly, anyway.

I can sort of understand, given that Square hardly want a repeat of the Final Fantasy 15/Kingdom Hearts 3 situation again, though once more, I wish they would stop announcing their games so far out in advance if that is the case.
