Remake or no, no Final Fantasy game is complete with badass summons, and the upcoming Final Fantasy 7 Remake is looking to deliver on that front, as it is looking to deliver on others. Taking to Twitter, the game’s official page shared a short clip of producer Yoshinori Kitase explaining how summons will work in the game.

In boss battles and fights against certain harder enemies, players will be able to call upon summons using the summons Materia when “special conditions are met.” Summons will be controlled by the AI, and will fight alongside you and your party for a set amount of time. When your ATB gauge fills up, you will also be able to command your summon to use one of its special abilities.

You can also read up on more details on Final Fantasy 7 Remake’s combat, how it offers choices to players in how they wish to play, and an interesting clip on Tifa’s Limit Break attack.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is out on March 3, 2020 for the PS4.
