Final Fantasy 7 Remake Holds Its Position In Latest Famitsu’s Most Wanted Charts

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

This week’s Famitsu Most Wanted Games chart for Japan is now out, and it looks largely the same as the chart last week did. We still have Dragon Quest 11‘s PS4 version topping the list, with the 3DS version coming in at third, we still have Monster Hunter XX coming in at fourth place, and Final Fantasy 7 Remake is still holding its second place on the chart.

Meanwhile, Resident Evil 7 comes in at fifth place, Kingdom Hearts 3 climbs to sixth place, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild climbs to ninth place, and Nioh, Nier Automata, and Super Robot Wars 5 form the remainder of the top 10 charts. Of course, as far as Zelda goes, we may see it gain some places once this week’s Switch event reveals more details about the game, as well as a final release date. Then again, Zelda has never performed particularly well in Japan, so maybe not.

Fina Fantasy 7 Remake‘s first episode is scheduled to launch for PS4 later this year. Dragon Quest 11 is scheduled to launch for 3DS, Switch, and PS4 later this year. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will launch on Wii U and Switch later this year.
