It’s just over a week now until the official release of the first part of Final Fantasy 7 Remake. The game will cover the Midgar part of the story and looks to be an expanded, but faithful, experience. It’s also hitting right when the pandemic of COVID-19 is seeming at its worse in the Western world. And it seems because of that, if you’re down under, you can get the game very early.

We already knew that retail copies were being shipped out earlier to Europe and Australia, but it seems in the case of the latter, stores are openly breaking the April 10th street date as of today. Several players from the region have reported stores from EB Games and JB Hi-Fi have the game and are selling it. If you’re in the region, you can get the game a whole 9 days early, if you want to brave going out.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake will officially release on April 10th, but obviously, depending on your region you’ll be able to get a physical copy much earlier. Those who are buying digital are locked in to the 10th still as of now, but your pre-load has been moved up. And trust us, you’re going to be thankful for that.
