Final Fantasy Type-0 will feature enhanced controls on Vita

Posted By | On 12th, Dec. 2011

Final Fantasy Type-0 director  Hajime Tabata confirmed at a recent consumer event in Japan that the game will feature enhanced controls on PS Vita, allowing for camera control with the system’s second analog stick, something which the PSP lacked.

The game’s online functionalities will be fully functional on the Vita, and Tabata says the game looks ‘very pretty’ on the new system. When asked about a possible sequel, he said: “I want to make a sequel, but… is there demand?” he asked. “If we make a sequel, we aren’t thinking about having it directly continue the [Type-0] story.”

This is very good news indeed. Not only does this mean that Type-0 will be a much better game on the Vita, but this also brings in the possibility of other PSP games having enhanced and better controls on Sony’s new handheld with its two analog sticks. Of course, touch screen controls will probably not be included, but we can expect some games that suffered camera issues to get a second analog stick added into their control schemes for the Vita.
