Square Enix has announce that it will be launching the beta for its completely overhauled version of the rather terrible Final Fantasy 14, Final Fantasy XIV: Seekers of Adoulin, will begin on February 25th for all gamers to try out.

Naoki Yoshida, producer of the game, says that the beta is launching a week later than what the development team originally intended, but with the extra development time in hand, the team was able to include much more features in the beta for all players to test.

The beta’s first phase will have a few story missions included and all the side missions that tie in with them, and will be set wholly in the areas surrounding Gridania. Dungeon design for level 30 players will also be included, along with other features such as events called “Full Active Time Events” (FATE) that “take place in non-instanced areas and appear at random” and more.

Stay tuned for more coverage.
