The upcoming relaunch of the failed Square Enix MMORPG, Final Fantasy XIV, has been getting a lot of attention for just how significant an overhaul of the entire game that it represents, and indeed, we’ve been pretty pleased with the game ourselves the few times we’ve got to hands on with it. Now, with the game launching properly today, Square Enix has gone ahead and given us a launch trailer for the title, and it looks like a true Final Fantasy game all right, replete with crystals, secrets, magic, dark, over the top villains, cute characters, loads of charm, and stunning graphics and soundtrack.

Check out the trailer for yourself and see. It really should get you excited for the game to at least some degree.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is launching for PC and PS3. A PlayStation 4 version is expected to follow next year. No version for Xbox One or Wii U has been announced yet.
