Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Launches on PS4

Square Enix's hit MMO finally available on PS4.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, the excellent Square Enix Final Fantasy themed MMO that against all odds became one of the best games in its genre and series when it received a relaunch last year, is now also available on PlayStation 4, after a period of early access and beta testing.

A Realm Reborn is the second attempt at a Final Fantasy XIV- the MMORPG originally launched in 2010 on PC, with a further planned PS3 version, but the game was a complete mess, with poor reception across the board that caused the title to bomb spectacularly, and for Square Enix to apologize, and promise a reworking of the game. The reworking was probably the best Final Fantasy game this side of FF12.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is also available on PC and PlayStation 3; it requires a monthly subscription fee, although you get one month free upon purchasing the game. PS3 owners of the game can also upgrade to the PS4 version for free, if they so wish.
