Final Fantasy XIV PS4 Box Art

The PlayStation 4 box art for the upcoming release of Final Fantasy XIV: A Real Reborn has been released by Square Enix. Development of the game is trucking along and the official release date for PlayStation 4 is set at April 14th.

The cover art is quite different from that of the Japanese version of the game, opting for a darker and more threatening image of an aggressive looking Black Mage, while the Japanese version features a shot of several different characters in non-action format. Producer/director Naoki Yoshida offered a comment on the game’s PlayStation 4 version on the official FFXIV forums:

“We’re very proud of what we’ve accomplished on the PlayStation 4, and as we set out on this world tour, we’re looking forward to sharing with players around the globe all the cool features offered by this new version of FFXIV: A Realm Reborn.”
