Homefront: The Revolution has had probably the most troubled development history of any game in a recent while- the game, originally starting development under THQ, was acquired by Crytek, who continued making it, before selling it off to its current developer, where it vanished off the face of the earth for a while.
You would have been forgiven for thinking the game was vaporware at this point. You would also have been wrong.
Today, we got to see some Homefront: The Revolution finally via a launch trailer- it showed off the premise: an America that has fallen to Korean invaders, and an oppressed society. The game, which will be an open world shooter, will emphasize guerrilla warfare over anything else, meaning it should be differentiated from the scores of shooters on the market right now.
Xbox One owners will get exclusive early access to the game’s beta come November, so you can see how it plays for yourself then. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage.
