The critically acclaimed turn based strategy RPG Fire Emblem: Awakening, developed by Intelligent Systems and Red Entertainment for the Nintendo 3DS, has received one hell of a DLC trailer. It highlights the different benefits that each DLC map pack will be bringing to the game.

We start with the Champions of Lore Pack that allows you to unlock several legendary Fire Emblem characters after successfully completing each map. The Golden Pack allows you to earn several EXP and gold that can be used to buy items in the main game. The Lost Bloodlines Pack is unique for being one of the few to bestow a class-changing item, the “Dread Scroll”.

These are only a sample of the wealth of content planned in the coming months. Each pack will contain 3 maps and retail for $6 each, with individual maps retailing for $3. It’s a pretty good deal, insofar as presenting extended gameplay and benefits.
