Fire Emblem Fates Has Online Multiplayer

The one major flaw with Fire Emblem Awakening, addressed.

Fire Emblem 3DS

When Fire Emblem Awakening launched for the Nintendo 3DS back in 2013, it was an amazing game. It was actually hard to find much wrong with it- in fact, in our review of it, we found that we could only criticize one thing, and that was the exclusion of any true multiplayer mode, local or online.

Well, it looks like the upcoming Fire Emblem Fates will be addressing that complaint too, potentially giving us the perfect Fire Emblem experience in the process. You see, Fates will include a very extensive competitive multiplayer mode, which can be played locally or online, with friends, or via random matchmaking. The rules appear to be fully customizable too, and it also sounds like there will be destructibility included on some of the maps.

Basically, if the collective three 30 hour campaigns that Fates will offer was not enough for you, you can also engage in some online strategic matches.

Fire Emblem Fates launches exclusively on Nintendo 3DS next year.
