For Honor 1

Ubisoft recently announced at Gamescom that For Honor will be receiving a closed alpha test from September 15th to 18th with sign-ups currently available on the official site.

The publisher noted that, “For Honor embarks players in the chaos, fury and brutality of ruthless, visceral close-quarter combat featuring the brutal Vikings, the deadly Knights and the cold-blooded Samurai. In each faction, players will be able to choose among four different types of Heroes.”

Apparently, each faction’s heroes are “capable of making a major difference on the battlefield.” We’ll see for ourselves how well that works when For Honor’s alpha actually arrives.

If you haven’t seen it by now, For Honor is an third person hack and slash/MOBA esque game wherein players lead attacks on other factions. Each faction has NPCs and other players mixed in with fights devolving into nuanced duels dependent on sword positioning and striking. For Honor is currently slated to release on February 14th 2017 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
