For Honor Open Beta Pre-Load Now Available

Starts on February 9th.

Ubisoft’s For Honor will be hosting an open beta on February 9th. If you’re interested and missed the closed beta for multiplayer, then you can pre-load the open beta starting today. Be warned though – the client itself is 27 GB.

Beta players can look forward to playing as nine of the 12 playable heroes across three factions including the Peacekeepers and Nobushi. Multiplayer modes include Elimination, Dominion, Brawl and Duel and you’ll also have a chance to try out the Faction War meta-game for rewards.

The timing of the open beta is interesting because it ends on February 12th while the full game is out on February 14th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

There have been some criticisms of For Honor, including its reliance on peer-to-peer matchmaking over dedicated servers. It also doesn’t help that reviews won’t go live until launch day but we’ll eventually see how performance pans out.

Will you be taking part in the open beta? Let us know below.
