For Honor Open Beta Starts on February 9th

Just a few days before the official release.

Following news that the closed beta for Ghost Recon: Wildlands begins pre-loading on February 1st, Ubisoft has announced an upcoming open beta for hack and slash title For Honor. The beta begins on February 9th and ends on February 12th for PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Along with four different modes – Elimination, Dominion, Brawl and Duel – it will include nine of the 12 heroes present in the full game. So this is essentially like the recent closed multiplayer beta though we expect Ubisoft to add something extra.

This wouldn’t be the first time Ubisoft has run a closed beta and then an open beta before a game’s launch (Tom Clancy’s The Division did the same thing last year) but For Honor releases on February 14th. That’s cutting it awfully close for release though it’s a great opportunity for the vast majority of players to decide if it’s worth the investment.
