Fortnite: Battle Royale Receives New Heavy Shotgun

Enjoying the variety of shotguns available in Fortnite: Battle Royale which, for all intents and purposes, is too damn many? Epic Games has added yet another one to the mix with the Heavy Shotgun. Having gone live yesterday with no server downtime, the Heavy Shotgun offers increased range.

Considering how lethal shotguns can be, this is a pretty big deal (though it appears to be limited to the Epic loot tier for now). C4 Explosives have also been added to the mix but smoke grenades the SMG are gone. They’ve been added to the vault, which is Epic’s term for weapons that have been temporarily shelved and could reappear later.

Other weapons added in recent times include the Hand Cannon, Crossbow and Hunting Rifle, each having their own impact on the game. Currently, it’s the fifth week of challenges in Fortnite: Battle Royale so look for those dance locations, hit up those ice cream trucks and so on to earn those battle stars.
