Fortnite Save the World

Fortnite: Save The World players who appreciate the co-op PvE gameplay have quite a lot to look forward to. Epic Games has announced that it will be releasing a new campaign “Canny Valley” and a new biome in the “near future”. These will go live “shortly after” patch v5.0 which releases in July.

The new campaign will releases in separate acts and will head to the “Arid parts” of Fortnite’s world. Questions like Dr. Vinderman’s fate, the “real” Ray and her location, the true nature of the Storm and much more will apparently be answered. Characters like Lars, “Steel Wool”, Dennis and Penny will make appearances along with familiar enemies.

Epic Games also revealed that it was testing prototypes for new enemies and mission types. Two brand new enemy types will be out in the coming months though players can also expect a stronger version of the Shielder to also release. The Zapper, another new foe, will follow shortly after. Challenge the Horde will also be returning in v5.0 and will have less waves of enemies and new mini-bosses.

If that weren’t enough, there are changes to the reporting system as well. “Starting next week, you’ll receive an in-game message when we take action against one of the players you reported. That way you’ll know the system is working and that you are contributing to make Fortnite a better place to play.”

Given the amount of focus to Fortnite: Battle Royale, it’s good to see Epic Games remain committed to Save The World. What are your thoughts on the upcoming content? Let us know below.
