Fortnite Season 6’s Shadow Stones Temporarily Disabled

Following a glitch that made users invisible, Epic has disabled the new Season 6 item.

Fortnite Season 6

The map in Epic Games’ Fortnite: Battle Royale has received quite the overhaul, thanks to the arrival of Season 6. Along with spooky new locations, the ominous purple cube has effectively created a floating island on its own.

One new item in Season 6 is the Shadow Stone. Using a Shadow Stone allows the player to gain wraith abilities, moving quickly and even phasing through walls and buildings. Though players become immune in this phase, they can’t use weapons, or build anything. Use a Shadow Stone wrong and you could end up completely exposed.

Unfortunately, a glitch occurred that allowed Shadow Stone users to go invisible. Only their weapons would be visible, and as you might guess in a game with such wide open spaces and long-range weaponry, this can be a significant advantage. As a result, Epic Games has disabled Shadow Stones temporarily. A fix should be out in the next week or two.

In the meantime, check out the latest Battle Pass and its items, including the introduction of Pets.
