Epic Games’ Fortnite servers will undergo maintenance today for the latest patch coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC. Matchmaking for Battle Royale will be down from 4:25 AM ET/7:25 AM PT with downtime into effect for the whole game from 4:50 AM ET/7:50 AM PT onwards. There are no details on how long maintenance will last.
Update 2.4.2 is brings new themed skins based on Valentine’s Day, a Crossbow with unlimited ammo and some changes like headshot damage on shotguns being 200 percent over 150 percent. The next update, 2.5.0, will launch the Valentine’s Day event with a new questline that promises a “love story, told the Fortnite way.” There are even more updates in store like update 3.0.0 which changes the game’s music and update 3.1.0 which brings Sprint It On content and quest map improvements.
One would hope that the next few updates go better than the last, which saw Epic Games experience database trouble and ultimately deploy an update that was rife with bugs. What are you looking forward to from the Valentine’s Day event? Let us know in the comments.
Ready to feel the love? Downtime for Patch V.2.4.2 will begin on February 8 at 4:50AM ET(0950 GMT). Matchmaking for Battle Royale will be disabled at 4:25AM ET(0925 GMT).
