Fortnite Update Pushed to the Switch eShop by Nintendo

Yep, stick a fork in it, it's happening.

Fortnite Battle Royale

So you know how Fortnite for Nintendo Switch has been so extensively rumored at this point? Like, we got a what seems to be legitimate leak of it for Nintendo’s E3 lineup, and then we got a rating for it by the Korean ratings board? Not counting how Epic Games themselves have talked about wanting to bring the game to Nintendo’s system?

Okay, here’s the final piece of evidence, then: Nintendo themselves have apparently pushed a Fortnite update to the Switch’s eShop, complete with its icon, suggesting that not only is the game coming to the Switch, but it’s coming very soon- in fact, there is a possibility that it may be an E3 shadow drop (in that it will be available to download right after Nintendo’s stream next Tuesday).

Fortnite on Nintendo Switch would be incredible- now I can finally play it in bed! It remains to be seen whether the Switch version would have any cross platform play, but Nintendo has been very open with that so far, so I have to assume it will, at least with the mobile, PC, and Xbox versions.
