Forza Motorsport 6 Announced For Xbox One

Raise your hands if you were surprised at this news.

Really, no one should have been surprised at this- the Forza series has been appearing every two years like clockwork since the very first installment on the Xbox in 2005 was followed by its sequel on Xbox 360 in 2007 (with Forza Horizon games interspersing the main numbered games ever since 2012). But still, it comes as a nice, pleasant confirmation- Forza Motorsport 6 will indeed be releasing this year, Microsoft confirmed, exclusively on the Xbox One.

The announcement comes to us from the official Forza Twitter account, which also shared an official announcement video, that you can see above.

Just earlier today, we reported that Microsoft had promised that loads of exciting and surprising games for the Xbox One, that had not even been announced yet, would be making their way to the console by this year end, and it sounds like Microsoft is already following through on that promise. It’s nice to see.

Hopefully, Forza Motorsport 6 can remove the stench of the disappointing and blatantly anti consumer Forza Motorsport 5, and can take cues from Forza Horizon 2 or the first four Forza games.
