Frictional Games Releases Gameplay Trailer For Sci-Fi Horror SOMA

The game arrives in 2015.

Earlier today Frictional Games released the first video for SOMA which shows gameplay mechanics that players can expect from the game. SOMA, which has been in development for three years, represents a continuation of the unique brand of horror storytelling Frictional Games prides itself on.

The game centers on a series of strange happenings at the PATHOS-2 research facility. A radio silence has disrupted the normal routine of things, and the machines of the facility have begun to exhibit abnormalities in behavior that are fast approaching dangerous. Without weapons you must try and escape the PATHOS-2 research facility.

From what we can see of the game play, the graphics look quite crisp, and the mechanics smooth. Not to mention that some of the stuff we’re seeing is just downright cool. That game’s first action is putting a loose brain into a corpse’s sawed off head. Not bad, Frictional Games. Not bad.

SOMA is set to release for PC and PlayStation 4 in 2015.
