Friday the 13th 2

Remember that crowd-funded asymmetrical multiplayer title based on Friday the 13th from Gun Media and Illfonic? It recently received a new trailer at PAX West showcasing some of the brutal executions that players will be able to partake in. Check it out below.

If those executions seem a little excessive, it’s because they’re the work of Tom Savini, a man who’s worked on the Friday the 13th film franchise along with other films like Dawn of the Dead with George Romero.

Friday the 13th: The Game will take place in the 1980s, the same period as the first film, and incorporates elements of third person horror along with an open world. It sees one player as Jason Vorhees hunting down camp counselors, controlled by other players, in a rendition of sorts from the film. It’s in development for Xbox One, PS4 and PC and penned in for an October release.
