It’s always nice when a great game opens its doors to a new demographic of players, and we’re delighted to tell you that Frostpunk has finally locked in its release date for Nintendo Switch, launching on October 19th.

It’s coming in two versions: the Base Game with a generous 30% launch discount, and the Complete Edition, which includes three DLC packs and has a 35% discount. In case you’ve missed this one over the many years it’s been around, it puts you at the helm of New London, your own city, but there’s a catch. You’re in charge of the last bastion of life on Earth, and things are quite grim, given the world’s post-apocalyptic nature. Ushering in a new era of humanity means hard choices and living with the consequences as you try to lead from the front.

You shape the laws your people follow, the kind of lives they lead, and the societies that form as a result. Of course, New London’s ripe for expansion, and there’s the allure of new technologies and all the good things they can bring to your growing abode. And for those who want a stress-free option, Serenity Mode lets you build without a care in the world.
