This is truly a game that would be perfect for Switch.

Game Dev Story

I’m sure you all remember Game Dev Story— it was the fantastic game development sim by Kairosoft that launched for iOS and Android smart devices a few years ago. It saw you take control of a fledgling game company, make your way developing games through the course of gaming history, and rise to become a conglomerate yourself, in the end even putting out your own consoles. Its template went on to be further perpetuated by the PC release of Game Dev Tycoon.

Game Dev Story, and other Kairosoft games, including Hot Springs Story, which has you manage your own hot springs, and Dungeon Village, which has you develop your own town in a fantasy world, will all be launching for Nintendo Switch via the Nintendo eShop in Japan this month— specifically, on October 11. These games are truly — say it with me — perfect for Switch, so I’m pretty excited they’re making the jump.

All I can hope for now is that they are brought over to the west some time soon. I’d buy all three of them.
