Gamer Fixes Xbox One Disc Drive By Giving It A Good Whack

A barbaric means of fixing your Xbox One.

In a video by YouTube, user, Dave D, the proud new owner of an Xbox One gave audiences a tip at an apparently effective albeit unconventional way of dealing with a stuck disc drive on the new console, an issue that several Xbox One consumers have highlighted since the console’s release.

The aforementioned fix is a tad primitive, but as far as we can see in the video, it works. YouTuber Dave D solves the issue of the frozen disc tray by simply disconnecting his Xbox One from the power source, flipping it on its end, and spanking it as one would a newborn child. Apparently the force exerted upon it from is back end does the trick.

While this brute force method does seem to be effective in fixing the issue, it is certainly not recommended. Handling such a complex piece of machinery in such a barbaric fashion is dangerous and could ultimately wind up costing you the $500 you spent on it. If your Xbox One isn’t working properly, it is recommended that you contact Xbox support to ask for assistance.
