Xbox 360 Game of the Year

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings- Enhanced Edition

Despite being a port of a game that was originally released a year ago, The Witcher 2 still managed to impress countless people. It just tells you something about a game’s quality when people still love it as much as they did when it was released months back.

RUNNER UP- Halo 4

PS3 Game of the Year

Journey

You saw this coming, didn’t you? Journey is a beautiful experience in every sense of the word. Some might argue that it doesn’t have enough content to compete with other deserving candidates, but everything about Journey sticks with you long atfter you’re done with it, and for the good reasons- and ultimately, that is what really counts.

RUNNER UP- Assassin’s Creed 3

Wii Wii U Game of the Year

ZombiU

A transitional year for Nintendo, we all thought 2012 would be rather dull and boring, but we actually got plenty of games on the two home consoles. And ZombiU was, hands down, the best of the lot. Rarely do games ever get zombies right, and the difficulty, atmosphere and gameplay of ZombiU made sure that it was one of those games.

RUNNER UP- New Super Mario Bros. U

Handheld Game of the Year

Kid Icarus: Uprising

Plenty of people expected this to be a disappointing, since, going by recent trends, things that are a long time coming usually end up being less than satisfactory. But with its witty writing, long, replayable campaign, addictive multiplayer and enjoyable shooting, Kid icarus managed to greatly impress each and every one of us.

RUNNER UP- Uncharted: Golden Abyss

PC Game of the Year

Far Cry 3

Just play Far Cry 3 on a PC on max settings. Just play it. It’ll fucking blowing you away. No, really. And if a game that’s already as good as Far Cry 3 gets visuals as jaw droppings as the PC version has doesn’t deserve getting this award, we don’t know what does.

RUNNER UP- Guild Wars 2
