The latest entry in the Gears of War series, simply titled Gears 5, was something of a return to form for the franchise. The previous game, Gears of War 4, was something of a disappointment, so 5 helped to get things back on track (you can read our full review of the game through here). The game has been updated frequently since release and starting now you can try it out for free.
As of today and running until the end of the week, you’ll be able to play Gears 5 free of charge. You will be required to have a Xbox Live Gold or Game Pass Ultimate membership, and in the case of the latter, the game is accessible for download at any time as well.
