Microsoft and Epic’s, er, epic conclusion to the Gears of War saga, Gears of War 3, is now available to all members of Xbox Live Gold for free via the Xbox Live Games with Gold program. All Xbox owners, regardless of whether they own an Xbox 360 or not, should go ahead and pick up the title- it will be made backwards compatible with Xbox One soon enough, meaning you will be able to play it even if you don’t actually have the Xbox 360. And ahead of the upcoming Gears of War 4, what better way to get all caught up on the story so far?
Gears of War 3 may be the highlight of today’s Games with Gold roster change, but it’s not the only new game. Xbox One owners can also pick up the puzzle-platformer So Many Me, which is normally $15, but is now, naturally, free.
Of course, if you own an Xbox One, don’t forget, you can also download Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag for free all month long. It’s a great game, so get on it.
