Gears of War 3 Story left purposely Open and won’t please everybody – Traviss

Posted By | On 22nd, Sep. 2011

Kirsten Traviss, who wrote the story for Gears of War 3 told Eurogamer that the game’s story won’t please everybody, and they purposely left it open. In case you haven’t played Gears of War 3 yet, the story mostly answers all the questions from the first two games and has some amazing twists that will surprise everybody.

But Traviss says, “You’re never going to please everybody. You’re always going to have the people that want to do a fact sheet on Wikipedia with everything answered. You’re never going to get that.”

I come from a background where a series with things left unanswered is part of the joy of it. They may never be answered, I don’t know. But you can’t tie up everything. There are some things that we know but the characters don’t know yet – and may never know.

Considering Gears of War 3 sold a lot, Epic might not want to close the story and would want to create another game in the future, but what do you think? Tell us in the comments sections below.
