Update: Looks like the original video was taken down. However, here are two GIFS showcasing the off screen gameplay footage.

It seems that Microsoft’s biggest announcement for E3 2015 has been leaked. Gears of War remastered which was rumored to be in development for the Xbox One is out of the bag. Youtube user EMK KrAuSeR™ has apparently got his hands on a playable build of Gears of War for the Xbox One. You can check out the new offscreen gameplay footage and screenshots below this article.

Microsoft have outright denied the game’s existence and yet vaguely teased the game in the past. At this point this is pretty much a solid confirmation that the game is in the works. However we are not sure whether this Gears of War is the one that Black Tusk Studios are currently working on when Microsoft announced their acquisition of the franchise. There might be two Gears of War in the works, a remastered version and a new entry into the series. But this is merely an assumption at this point and we will keep you updated as this builds.

There is no release date and Microsoft has not officially announced the game yet. But given that the game has already been leaked, it makes sense for Microsoft to take control of the situation and confirm the remaster for the Xbox One.

Neogaf user has shared two screens comparing the original game and the remastered version. The difference is startling.
