Hideo Kojima recently broke millions of hearts when he announced that his upcoming highly anticipated title Death Stranding will not be at E3 this year. We know very little of the game, and as such a lot of us had been looking at E3 as the time when we finally got some concrete information on just what the game is going to be all about. Kojima, however, said that his team was busy working on the game itself, and hence, it wouldn’t be shown off at E3.
However, if Geoff Keighley is to be believed, while there won’t be a trailer shown for the game at this year’s E3, it might still be a presence at the show in some way, shape or form. In a live video posted on his Twitter, Keighly said, “I am expecting a Hideo Kojima surprise. He always loves to surprise us. I think he’s just here to talk about his [movie] influences. I don’t think we are going to get a new trailer or anything but who knows.”
Well, one can always hope, right? It’s not like Kojima hasn’t done unconventional stuff before, especially at E3. Remember Moby Dick Studios and the reveal of The Phantom Pain? We aren’t expecting anything like that, of course, but come on, Kojima, at least give us something! Stay tuned to GamingBolt, and we’ll find out together if that does indeed happen.
