The free weekend comes in time for the Rainbow Six crossover.
Ghost Recon Breakpoint was probably one of the more high profile games over the last few years to underperform. While we’ve never gotten solid numbers, the game did so poorly it made Ubisoft delay several other games, and it clearly has never been as active as its predecessor, Wildlands. Most companies probably would have cut bait a long time ago, but Ubisoft has done all they could to turn things around with plenty of updates, promotions, and free to play periods, one of which starts today.
Breakpoint will be free to play starting today and running through the weekend. The free period will come just in time for the limited time Amber Sky event, which will see a crossover with Rainbow Six Siege, which you can read more about through here.
Ghost Recon Breakpoint is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia. You can also play it on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S through backwards compatibility (you can read about enhancements through here). The free trial will last until January 25th, and the game is also 85% off if you decide you like the sample.
