When the annals of video game history are written, Ghost Recon Breakpoint is going to get a special entry, for all the wrong reasons. Despite following a wildly successful predecessor and coming at a time when Ubisoft was flying high, the game was an infamous flop. It apparently did so bad, it caused the company to restructure their entire game schedule and mindset. Regardless, Ubisoft has committed to updating the game, and now we know when the much anticipated Immersive mode will finally come.

The Immersive update has been delayed before, but will now come out near the end of this month, on the 24th. Immersive mode will get rid of gear levels, with limited health and resources, making it a more straightforward and intense affair. Along with Immersive mode, you can also create custom ways to play, including tweaking your stamina, health regeneration, how many weapons you can carry, even how you react to being shot, and much, much more. You can play in co-op with people who are playing in any of the three modes: Regular, Immersive, or Custom.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia. You can see the breakdown of the upcoming update in the trailer below.
