God of War: Ascension single player trailer will make you squeal like a little girl

Rated K for Kratos.

All we’ve seen of God of War: Ascension till now, other than the E3 gameplay demo, has been focused on the series’ first attempt at the multiplayer area. And while it’s certainly looking interesting, we all know we’re going to get Ascension because of its single player mode.

Sony has just released a teaser trailer for the single player of God of War: Ascension. It’s thirty seconds long, but it’s really, really good and gives you an idea of what the game’s going to be like. For one, Kratos doesn’t scream in the entire trailer- a personal achievement for the character. In fact, he looks quite tender and sad in a few scenes, which is unlike what we’ve seen of him in five games now.

Also, there seem to be a few pretty epic looking set pieces in that video. Also, Kratos saying “Only on PlayStation” at the end of the video is awesomeness. Just have a look above.

We recently posted our impressions of the multiplayer from what we played, and we’re quite impressed. Read our hands-on preview here.

God of War: Ascension releases in March only for PS3, as Kratos so astutely reminds us. Stay tuned.
