God of War Confirmed For Early 2018 Release, Receives New Footage Showcasing Tons of Action

And it looks absolutely fantastic, beyond belief.

The long awaited God of War got a brand new trailer at Sony’s E3 press conference today, hinting more at the nature of Kratos’ son, and the reason he may be away from ancient Greece. We got to see more of the kind of high octane action that we are used to from the series, and we got hints for the new game’s story. We also got to see a dramatically overhauled combat system, that looks to be far deeper than anything else in the series so far, including what was shown last year, when the game first debuted.

As always, the game looks great- and it will look even better on the PS4 Pro. It also sounds like it will have more humor, and more varied gameplay, than the original God of War trilogy. It actually looks a bit like a Legend of Zelda game (pre-Breath of the Wild), actually.

Check out the trailer for yourself below, and let us know what you think. God of War will launch exclusively on the PS4 in early 2018.
