Sony’s recent State of Play presentation was supposed to focus on third party games coming from Japanese developers, and reports suggested that upcoming first party megatons were unlikely to make an appearance. Nonetheless, the highly-anticipated God of War Ragnarok ended up closing the show in impressive fashion.
Sony premiered a new story trailer for the action-adventure sequel, showcasing glimpses of typically high-octane gameplay, intense combat, and quite a few different locations. Primarily, however, the trailer puts the spotlight on a number of key characters, both friendly to Kratos and Atreus and otherwise, including the likes of Thor, Freya, Tyr, and others that haven’t been shown previously. What look like really crucial moments in the game’s story also have been shown off.
