Google Stadia App Has Broken A Million Downloads

The streaming service finally hits the big milestone.

Stadia

Google’s Stadia service was one of the first big leaps into the potential streaming future for gaming. It didn’t seem to take off too well, though, but Google is hanging their hope that it’s more of a slow burn as opposed to a burnout. At least now, the service has hit a pretty big milestone with the amount of app downloads.

As reported by Reuters, the Stadia app has now crossed one million downloads. This comes after Google gave away two months of the Pro version of Stadia out for free (which you can still redeem). It’s also worth noting that you can download the app even without using the service, though there’s little use for it independent of the streaming service.

Google has been slow to reveal new titles for their service, though we know that there are exclusives being worked on for it. The road to a million downloads was a slow one, it seems, but hopefully it’s a good sign for Stadia going forward.
