Tomorrow, Google unveils its vision for “the future of gaming”; while we wait for that to happen, however, Google has already begun to set up its showfloor space at the GDC exhibit hall, which people are seeing now as well. And what they are seeing is what appears to be an exhibit designed to show off hardware, with lots of big cases that are currently… empty?
That seems to hint at substantial hardware, right? It’s either that, or, assuming that this announcement is actually for a streaming service, that is all for show, and Google will use the “empty” cases to demonstrate that that is all you need to run console quality games anywhere. Or, hell, it could be both, who really knows.
We also get to see what the logo of this new… thing… will be like. You can see that in the images below too. To me, it looks like a logo of the Wifi signal kind of distorted to look like an S, which seems to add credence to this being a streaming thing. Or maybe I am just looking for signs where there are none?
We’ll know by this time tomorrow either way.
