Gothic 1 Remake

Alkimia Interactive’s Gothic 1 Remake, previously set for release this year, will now launch in early 2026. THQ Nordic announced this during its recent showcase, while providing a new trailer that reveals Xardas, the series’ legendary necromancer. Check it out below.

Xardas provides a rough outline of the world, from the Khorinis mines and its prisoners to the orcs wreaking havoc against the kingdom as a whole. It also offers a closer look at the revamped combat, from hacking and slashing to spell-casting and even summoning skeletons to fight for you.

If that wasn’t enough, the Nyras Prologue demo is also available now for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S (previously exclusive to PC). This provides a sample of the overall gameplay and art direction that the team is going for.
