Gran Turismo 5 pre-order sales “went through the roof”

UK online retailers ShopTo.net believe Gran Turismo 5 will be a huge success, probably this year’s PS3’s biggest launch, and maybe even ever.

After finally having been given a confirmed release date of November 24th by Sony, Gran Turismo 5’s pre-orders at ShopTo.net have gone “through the roof.”

“We’ve never seen anything like this before,” said Philip Driver, ShopTo marketing manager. “As soon as the new release date was announced the sales just went through the roof.

“This is a game that most PS3 owners have been waiting a long time for,” he added. “Luckily we have prepared well and will be able to get GT5 to everyone that orders for release day.”

I just hope the game is not disappointing, and it well worth the wait. You can read our recent preview of the game here.
