Rumours have been swirling for a reveal of Gran Turismo 6. Sony’s announcement of a Gran Turismo-related reveal over the weekend has only fueled that, with a media event apparently scheduled for Wednesday. The even itself will look at the future of Gran Turismo.

However, Sony France might have the answer as to what we can expect. Updating its home page with the PlayStation 3 logo, it indicates that whatever is planned for the Gran Turismo may indeed be GT6.

Or GT6: Prologue. And wouldn’t that just be hilarious?

Till now, there has been talk of Gran Turismo 6 with executives accidentally letting it slip that the next game in the series would be arriving for PS3 instead of PS4. This seems to be a step in the right direction. Whatever is planned for PS Vita may also have to do with Gran Turismo, as Sony talked about several interesting announcements for the handheld.

Stay tuned for more details, as Wednesday’s event approaches.
