Gran Turismo 6 Releasing on December 6th for PlayStation 3

Sony dials it up this Winter.

Posted By | On 20th, Aug. 2013

Sony began its Gamescom press conference and after some fiddling around the UI by Shuhei Yoshida, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe president and CEO Jim Ryan ascended the stage to talk about Polyphony Digital’s upcoming Gran Turismo 6. He introduced a new trailer for the game and gave it a release date of December 6th 2013 for the PlayStation 3.

You know what to expect if you’ve seen a GT6 trailer before: Lots of cars, lots of realistic graphics and then, even more cars. Regardless, given that the PlayStation 4 will be hitting later this year (rumours peg it for a late November release), it’s good to see Sony still focusing on current generation users with Gran Turismo 6.

Stay tuned for more details from Sony’s Gamescom presser. Will it be enough to overthrow Microsoft’s impressive streak of announcements earlier (Edit: Borderlands 2 on PlayStation Vita. This console war is over. Done)? We’ll soon find out over the course of the hour.
